The Bake Cell Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Valerie Lewis, a biomedical scientist and educator who believes science should be accessible, engaging, and relevant to everyday life. Drawing inspiration from her background in research and her creative passion for baking, Dr. Lewis established The Bake Cell Foundation as a bridge between scientific discovery and community learning.

Through the sale of its signature baked goods, The Bake Cell Foundation raises funds to support hands-on STEM educational programs for students in underserved communities, particularly at the K–6 grade levels, as well as internships and academic scholarships for students pursuing STEAM degrees and extracurricular opportunities. These programs aim to spark early interest in science and inspire the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators.

What makes The Bake Cell Foundation truly unique is its fusion of science and social impact. By transforming a bakery into a platform for education and opportunity, it redefines what a community-based nonprofit can be—where every cookie, cake, and creation helps build a stronger, smarter, and more inspired future.
